South East Wales Work-life Balance Network – 18th October 2011

Chwarae Teg’s Regional Employer Work-life Balance Network events continued this week and was kindly hosted by The Maldron Hotel, Cardiff.
Ceri Cryer, Age Cymru delivered an active session on ‘Growing Older in Wales’ to the Network together with opportunities to share best practice, find solutions and overcome barriers surrounding age equality issues in the workplace.
Following the session the network were asked what they would take away from the day, some common themes were:-
- Communicate work-life issues more effectively.
- Review and evaluate current work-life balance and flexible working policies - are they fair and do they recognise age?
- Train and re-train staff on policies to accept change.
We would like to thank everyone who attending the Network and to all the staff at the hotel for making the event a great success!
