Chwarae Teg Design Contest judges announced

Heading up the judging panel is Rachel Jones, Director of Arts & Business Cymru, a charity and membership organisation which specialises in promoting and enabling mutually beneficial partnerships between business and the arts across Wales.
Hailing from Neath in South Wales, Rachel is a music graduate of Goldsmiths’ College,University of London. She worked for Artistic Management Agency, Van Walsum, before returning to Wales to work for Live Music Now!, an organisation with which she retains close links as a committee member. Rachel joined Arts & Business Cymru in 1996 as its administrator and took up her current role in 1999.
Joining Rachel is Robert Lloyd Griffiths, Director of Institute of Directors, Mari Thomas, award-winning designer jeweller, and Lampeter based award winning designer Jo Conti.
The shortlisting process will begin after the contest closing date on 18 December 2011, and three finalists will be chosen at a judging day held on 27 January 2012.
The overall winner will be announced at Chwarae Teg’s twentieth anniversary launch event being held on 8th March 2012 at Swansea’s National Water front Museum.
As part of their prize the winner and two runners up will have their entries displayed at the museum for 3 months, as part of an exhibition charting 20 years of Chwarae Teg’s achievements in supporting the economic development of women in Wales.
