Staff Testimonials
What some of the current staff say about Chwarae Teg...
Katie Cole, Senior Project Officer – South East Wales
"I joined Chwarae Teg as Senior Project Officer for the South East Wales team in May 2009. I returned from maternity leave to my previous post in March, so the last few months have been all change for me! In the short time since joining Chwarae Teg, I have already benefited from a major change to my own work-life balance.
As an employer, Chwarae Teg recognises employees have commitments outside of work, and supports me to find the best working pattern for both myself and the business. I have found the organisation to be a forward-thinking, welcoming place to work where the approach is fresh and exciting and everyone is treated equally.
My role will involve building strong links with employers and most exciting of all, helping women advance in the workplace through training and support provided thanks to Chwarae Teg Agile Nation."
Jan Every, Regional Project Administrator – South West Wales
"Chwarae Teg has an excellent work-life balance culture, and will try to accommodate most issues that can rise through family life allowing individuals to find a work pattern which suits both them and Chwarae Teg. Any overtime worked is not paid but time off in lieu is given instead. I find this a great way of working as if you have accumulated any extra hours then you can bank these and use them when needed with line manager approval. There seems to be plenty of opportunities for development within the organisation, and you constantly learn new things with each passing day.
Though my time with Chwarae Teg has only been short, 5 months, I am enjoying every moment. It is a very exiting time and I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to work with Chwarae Teg and especially within the new project Agile Nation".
